NetEmpathy plans to provide a new level of sentiment analysis, using the latest in Natural Language Processing and AI technology. It will be available to developers via an open API, so they can build their own applications and services on top of it.
We want to provide openness and clarity around how sentiment analysis works, instead of acting like a black box, leaving the end-user confused about what the results actually mean. Our heuristics and algorithms will be described in detail and subjects to criticism and peer review, leading to better analysis.
We have many cool ideas for using NetEmpathy, but not enough time. We believe that sharing the API will foster the growth of new services and provide a benchmark from which other services can be measured. We hope to be the best and most accurate service, but welcome competition!
